Gears: The stainless steel gear train in Penn's Torque Lever Drag reels doesn't get much tougher. Machined from stainless steel in their Philadelphia manufacturing center and drilled out for weight reduction, these gears offer the perfect combination of strength and speed.
Washers: Penn's Dura-Drag material contains a special Phenolic bonding agent that prevents premature breakdown of the carbon fiber material while providing a barrier to water. They then pretreat each drag washer with a special compound developed by Penn engineers... say goodby to jerky drags and lost fish!
Quick Shift™ The Quick Shift™ 2 speed system easily shifts into high or low gear. High gear is great when doing everything from kite fishing to clearing baits, but when a 200lb Yellowfin eats your bait you can feel good knowing you'll be able to winch him to the boat in low gear.

If you do not find what you are looking for do a Google search with Mystic Reel Parts in the search with your model. I have a Penn 285 and 9 and it took me to the exact page for both. Also have the reel schematics.

I luckily found MysticParts via a Google search. Their website is comprehensive and I was at a loss on what I needed. Fortunately the “contact us” option was user friendly. To my delight I got a personalized and VERY helpful response right away. She asked questions to fully understand my needs and then followed up with links to the right parts. We continued our email exchange regarding my second reel issue and, again, she was extremely knowledgeable and gave me both practical as well as professional solutions.
