Common Repair Problems - Conventional Reels
114 and 114-LH Design Changes - Versions over the years
Standard 114 Versions
114 W/POSTS: All the older versions of the 114 reel had metal posts as framework.
114 HALF Frame w/stand: This version has a molded frame, in which the reel stand is part of the frame. The frame is not a complete circle; it only comes halfway around the spool.
114 HALF Frame (V2)w/stand: This 2002 version has a molded frame, in which the reel stand is part of the frame. The frame is not a complete circle; it only comes halfway around the spool. Drags are accessible from outside the reel.
114 FULL Frame: This version has a molded frame. The reel stand is a separate piece, as it was in the older versions of the 114. The frame is a full circle around the spool. Older 114H reels can be converted to this frame. Drags are accessible from outside the reel.
We use style coding on the Stock Item bar for this reel to show which parts are used with which version. Many are used for all four versions of the reel.
